Summary: Host sent check in information well prior to check in which was very clear. Pictures in listing matched exactly to where we stayed was very clean and neighborhood was quite.

Summary: Overall we were disappointed with our stay here. The only pros I can give it are the off street parking and easy self check in. The kitchen was lacking almost all necessary supplies. Good utensils, cutting board, glasses/cups, etc. One of the main reasons we got this place was for a full kitchen and it was very hard to prepare food with what was provided. Also a severe lack in cleaning supplies. The decor was the bare minimum. The furniture is old and needs replacing, the bed was not comfortable, and overall it just needs some TLC from the owner. The shower was dirty. The curtain and mat were filthy and honestly a huge turn off. We also saw 2 cockroaches while we were there. We would not return here if we visited again. It seems like a somewhat neglected property and needs more attention to be a nice place to stay.

Summary: I booked this Vrbo for a trip with my husband. Overall the apartment was a good budget find. The parking was very convenient and it was super easy to get in and out of the unit. We never encountered any other people from the other units in the building while we were there, so I'd say it's pretty private. The climate controls worked well and the bed was very comfortable. The bedroom and living room are quite spacious, and there's plenty of room to spread out if needed. Of note is that there's no dedicated desk/work space, if that's something you need. The apartment was very clean for the most part with a couple minor exceptions (some open food items left in the freezer, the inside of the shower curtain). Overall cleanliness wasn't a concern, and there was dish soap provided to wash any dishes that you used in the kitchen. The decor was a little sparser than pictured (i.e. no bath mat in the bathroom, the overhead fan in the bedroom only had one working light bulb), but nothing that was problematic. Some amenities were also a little limited for the length of our stay (only two rolls of toilet paper, no extra towels or bedding that I could find). It would be nice to have some extras on hand just in case, but we managed fine with what was there. I was never able to connect to the wifi, but my husband was able to connect to an Xfinity hotspot, and I hotspotted to his phone. The TV worked well- we used the youtube app a few times. If you plan on using public transit- the times in the listing to get to various locations are driving times, not walking/transit times. It is fairly quick to get to transit (we usually caught the free streetcar on Benning, which can take you to Union Station to catch the metro), but just note that actual travel time will be longer. Lastly, not a negative just an fyi- if you are sensitive to noise you may want earplugs for sleeping. There is a lot of street noise, and when a person was in the upstairs unit (only a couple times over five nights) that could be rather loud. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this Vrbo for anyone who wants a simple, no-frills place to stay with free parking.
